These two were so fun to shoot! Both were naturals at posing. I love it when I don't have to give much direction. Mom wanted to send out Christmas cards that had a Fall feel to them. I love how the leaves match this little man's hair. And their eyes... so blue!

Back in August, I shot a single dad and his kiddos. Just shortly after these were taken, we allfound out that little "L" had a softball sized tumor on herovary. She was rushed off to surgery andit was completely removed! No trace ofany more cancer. Lovin Rady's Children'sHospital and the team that helped save her little life. ♥

What? She's nine already? Where on earth did the time go? She does not like to have her photo taken but with a little bribing... it worked out just fine. We headed over to the design district on Cedros for this year's shoot. What a fun and colorful time we had. Thanks baby girl for cooperating! ♥ you!

It was so much fun to shoot Madam "S" in her boudoir session. Most of the photos are for his eyes only (lucky guy!) but she graciously allowed me to share a couple of photos with you. Madam "S" wanted to do something truly special for her hubby on their 10th anniversary and what better way to say "I love you" than with these sensual photos. This hot mama has two young children and let me tell you... She's one sexy mommy! I had such a blast capturing her inner and outer beauty.

How fun it was to do a photo shoot while on vacation! Our family took a road trip in July ulitmately ending up in Superior, CO. This photo shoot was done in El Dorado State Park within the Rocky Mountains. It was GORGEOUS! Zach and Hannah were a blast to shoot and had me laughing the entire time. Thank you Hacker Family for being so much fun!

Another trip to Glendale. This was the first time I got to see my niece, Grace with her eyes open. I had so much fun playing with her and capturing her tiny little expressions. I'm sure I'll need to go back soon!

Well, I went out to Cindy and Vern's farm in Berthoud, CO the Tuesday after the wedding and got to meet their four horses and two geese. I REALLY wanted Cindy to be bareback on one of the horses but it turns out, they were a bit scared of her dress. I guess they just weren't used to seeing "mama" in a big white wedding gown. O well, I got some great shots anyway. Here's a sneak peak. Between this and the wedding... I've got a lot of editing to do.

Vern & Cindy were married May 23, 2010 @ Ellis Ranch in Loveland, CO. The weather turned out to be perfect. With all the wind happening around I was a bit worried we’d have to move it indoors, but, it was gorgeous! I ♥ it when couples are willing to have fun with their photos and allow me to play around with different ideas. These two are truly in love with each other. Cindy was attentive to each and every detail and made everything from her own bouquet, the boutonnieres, to dinner! Amazing

I made the trek to Glendale to capture my future niece. Grace should be arriving in the middle of May. My brother is so proud and absolutely adores his unborn daughter. We took these photos in the nursery so we'd have the same color background when we hung them on the wall. I always ♥ taking pregnancy photos because the joy is genuinely radiating from both mommy and daddy. I can't wait!

What a cutie patutie! You forget how small they used to be until you hold somebody else's newborn. Makes you want to think about having another one, right? I said think about... Phillip John was born February 3, 2010 and was a wee bit early. No worries... he's happy and healthy. This little super model cooperated just nicely. His modeling career is going to be HOT! Abercrombie... watch out! Thanks Janice for allowing me to play around with him. I hope I can be the one to document his life for years to come. ☺

HDP Valentines Day Shoot

Yesterday was a lot of fun and quite successful. The photo here is one of the "wardrobe" changes from yesterday's session. Yep, that's right... that's all she wore! Let me tell you, the photos are hot! To protect the privacy of my clients I cannot post most of the photos, however, there are a few that I will post once I'm done with some of the editing. What a blast... call me to book your private session!

Ahhhh! They are so cute! I got him to crack a smile {yeah me!} The doctor had just given him his clearance to walk after his knee surgery. Thank goodness. He did a fine job and you could hardly tell he had surgery.

Gorgeous! She never stopped smiling. And I think we accomplished taking most of the photos on her "good side". I can't imagine walking around in that dress. I lifted it to take the photos before hand and it was soooo heavy, but, how she wore it, breathtaking!

The pop of red was a perfect choice, simple yet elegant. I loved this little crystal butterfly in her bouquet, such a nice touch.

All of her brides maids... so happy for her! They tended to every detail. They even delivered the shot glasses and bottle of Patrón to the guys while she was getting ready for the day.

Bottoms up! These cool cats are dressed and ready to get the party started!

Marina Village made such a nice backdrop for the ceremony. And if you didn't catch the sunset... you missed out on one of the most spectacular displays of colors... EVER!

An "N" {Nick and Natalie} and a "Y" for their last name, adorned the top of this gorgeous and delicious cake. And yes, I must sample the cake at every wedding I attend. :) We decided to set up this ring shot using their "Y", why, because it was cute... that's why.

Standing room only at this ceremony. It went through without a hitch, well, they did get hitched actually. All of the children did a wonderful job and Natalie and Nick said their vows.

Congratulations on your most wonderful day! May your future be filled with love, happiness and many beginnings.

Natalie and Nick's Engagment Shoot

Originally we were supposed to shoot Natalie and Nick's engagement photos at Disneyland. I was so excited to finally have the opportunity to shoot somewhere other than the beach or Balboa Park. Not that those places aren't beautiful, just repetitive. Nick happened to injure his knee the week before the shoot and we had to cancel. Bummer. However, we headed up to Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook a week or so later, ditched the knee brace for about an hour and had a blast. Thanks for getting your shoes a little bit muddy! My goal... to get Nick to smile like this in all his photos! Ha Ha. I'm looking forward to January 9th for my first 2010 wedding. You guys are too cute!

This couple was so cute! They each brought their own personality to their beautiful wedding day. Rena had on the cutest pair of tennis shoes and Josh wore his hip suspenders. They both had that "look" in their eye as they kept gazing at each other throughout the day. They would crinkle their noses at each other as they caught each others glances. Their day was non-stop fun and excitement.

Dawn and her husband are expecting their second child soon! She wanted pregnancy portraits that were conservative yet unique. What an honor that she called upon me to help capture this moment in time. The entire family was a joy to work with, including their very obedient dog. This photo is one of my favorites from the bunch. I love to sneak photos when they are the least expected. Natural smiles and poses are the best way to show off your best features.
